Technically, "Obedience Training" is teaching a skill or trick. It is easier and less expensive to teach appropriate skills correctly, than fix a problem later. Firmly established obedience skills work in all environments, at any time, and are reliable and consistent in performance.
I develop age appropriate programs that build from simple to complex in easy steps. I use a variety of training methods and equipment. This applies from puppy to senior/older dogs. It is of huge benefit for shy or abused dogs to know how to accomplish skills and receive reward for being so smart. If required, I fill in the gaps from your prior training experiences.

Sit for one minute Down for four minutes Come directly to you when called, the first time Wait meaning don’t move forward through doors or anywhere else Off meaning put all four paws on the ground Up meaning you can now jump on the bed, chair etc.
Intermediate and Advanced skills include all of the above off leash plus hand signals and out of sight commands.

I use a variety of techniques. Because your dog is an individual, and because you will have some preconceived ideas of how you want to train, you will receive an individualized custom program. I make sure the training will hold up in any environment.
I use the most effective, and least aversive, to quickly accomplish what is needed. An owner and dog that are well synchronized is a beautiful thing to see, and to be.
